To Store: Roll Manduka PRO mats with the top side (fabric-finish) facing outwards. This keeps the corners of the mat flat when practicing.

To Break In: The surface texture of Manduka PRO mats improves with use. The best way to break in your mat is practice, practice, practice, but if you want to speed things up a little, try a simple salt scrub

To Clean: Keep your mat in the best condition by wiping it down after every practice with Manduka All-Purpose Mat Wash. It’s specially formulated to clean your mat without damaging the surface or causing slippage. DO NOT soak, shower or submerge your mat in water.

    I love my mat!

I bought this mat a few months ago and I'm very happy with it! It has certainly improved my stability, comfort and gives me the support that I need. It makes practicing yoga so much easier. I would certainly recommend it!

    Loving my new mat!

I've been practicing yoga for a few years and my mat started deteriorating. I asked at class and several people raved about Manduka (and it's lifetime warranty). I love this mat! My hands don't slip in downward dog, it's dense enough to cushion my tallus bone, and it's long enough! Love, love, love!!!

An immediate noticeable diExample: Great features!

I recently got back into yoga after a few years' break. I had been using an old cheap mat and borrowing my roommates Yogitoes grip towel and then one day, decided to get a new, high quality mat and my own Yogitoes towel.

I spent a lot of time researching and decided on this Manduka PROlite® Yoga Mat - Truth Blue. When the mat arrived, I noticed that it felt heavy and nice, and the mat seemed high quality. The blue is also a pretty color. I used it for the first time with my Yogitoes grip towel for a hot C2 yoga class at my nearby studio and immediately could tell the difference in quality and performance between this and my old mat. This mat doesn't slip around the floor and the towel stays better in place compared to my old mat. I definitely work up a sweat in my hot yoga classes so having a non-slippy mat is very important. The thickness is nice and my body feels good while doing all yoga positions.

Needless to say, I'm happy about this purchase and plan to use it for my in studio yoga classes several times a week. This mat was a higher up front cost but I feel it's worth it for a quality product that will last for a long long time. I like that the Manduka lifetime guarantee should make this possible. :)Example: I bought this a month ago and am so happy that I did...

    Good thickness

I bought this several weeks ago because my knees hurt on my old mat when in specific poses. I asked a teacher at my studio and she suggested the pro. Because of the weight and reviews I chose the prolight version. I was not disappointed. While a bit thinner than the pro version this is perfect for my at home practice.

This is a great Yoga Mat!

This is the best mat I’ve found. There is no slipping or stretching and it is easy on the body.

    Love this Mat

This is my first high quality mat purchase. I decided Manduka because the Lifetime gym I go to also has them in their yoga studio and their warranty is great. I got it on sale so definitely worth the money. Light enough to not weigh a million pounds but thick enough that it is very comfortable. I look forward to breaking it in.

    1. No. I do wipe it down with mat spray when it needs it.

    2. Hi Shari, I wouldn’t worry about staining. I keep a pro in blue as a guest mat.  Looks and grips like new.  When it gets dirty easily cleans up with vinegar and water. Also, several of my clients have bright colored Manduka’s and I never noticed any stains or heard complaints.   Email me and I’ll gladly send you a pic of my 5 YO old blue mat.

    1. Depends on what kind of surface you are practicing on. If its a hard or uneven surface I would go with the Pro. If its soft, the ProLite

    2. I was torn also between the 2, I also have knee issues from years of soccer. The prolite was my chose as the pro is very heavy. The prolite is easy to carry, for extra cushion you can fold the mat. Hope this makes sense and helps in your decision.

    2. 4lbs 2oz on my scale. I always recommend the Pro Lite to anyone who does not want to carry the heavier Pro Mat.

    1. I love the size of this mat, it’s wider and longer which works great for me. The fact that it’s lighter but still has the cushion is even better for my old joints. Other colors would be awesome to have for sure.

    1. I have the PRO-lite purple mat and it is a deeper purple - not what I would call 'bright purple'. I really like the tone and colour.

    1. When I got the mat, I thought it looked more blue than I had expected (though it's still lovely). It's more blue than blue-green. Hope that helps!

    2. It's definitely blue, like a deep ocean blue. It's a nice color, somewhat bright, but very friendly. Like the sky on a bright cloudless day.

    1. My experience with the Pro and PROlite mats has changed as my practice has deepened. As a new yogi I was constantly slipping and always used a towel. Having practiced for about 6 years and am now teaching hot and non-heated yoga, I find that I do not have problems with the slippage (even on a new mat as I can't seem to control myself when I see a new color). I found that the stronger my body becomes, the less I slip. I always have a towel with me for hot yoga and will usually lay it down about half-way through a hot class (especially if the class is full as it will be warmer and sweatier). I don't use a towel for non-heated classes. I really like the Pro and PROlite mats for yoga as they are easy to clean and have great cushion for my joints. I use the Manduka spray with a wet cloth after class to keep it fresh.

    2. Every person is different and has different sweat levels. I practice hot yoga on my PROlite mat and always use a towel, it helps to ensure you have grip through out your practice. I'd recommend a yogitoes towel for hot yoga; they have silicone nubs on the bottom to help create additional grip when things get sweaty!

    1. I would suggest the PROlite Long & Wide, I believe it will provide the width you're looking for! https://www.manduka.com/prolite-long-wide-black.html
